Armada is the name of the new company in which Moerplant, Excellent Flower Breeding en Superior Young Plants will continue their activities together. The main office is located in de Lier (NL).

Our team of specialists can help you with the production of your crops. They can advise you on planning, choice of varieties, cultural advice and sales support of aster, chrysanthemum, phlox, delphinium, solidago, ajania, hibiscus, veronica, pot carnation, lavender and eupatorium.

Depending on the crop, the cuttings come from one of our production locations in Costa-Rica, Brazil or Uganda. Here we produce under optimum conditions the plant material of your crops. Apart from our own high standards in quality control, there is also the regular inspection of NAKTuinbouw (Dutch plant health inspectorate). By regular selection and maintenance of our motherstock in vitro we can guarantee that our plants reach you in optimum quality. The rooting of several of our crops takes place at our rooting facility in de Lier.

Apart from producing our own varieties we are also closely cooperating with other plant breeders. In this way we can offer you an interesting range of products. For instance we have access to the latest varieties of Bartels (e.g. delphinium, solidago, veronica), Biancheri Creations (pot ranunculus) and la Villetta (pot carnation).

- ARMADA PRODUCTION
Flowers and cuttings production

In this department flowers are produced of our novelty varieties just before the moment of introduction. The recently built compartments gives us the opportunity of testing under commercial conditions. This gives us a lot of technical information so surprises during culture are kept to a minimum. By producing flowers in larger quantities there is also a lot of commercial information available at the moment of introduction. You can think about sales potential, vase life, transport quality. Armada Production is MPS-GAP certified.

- ARMADA INTERNATIONAL
Breeders' rights and licences.

Our products are, depending on the country, protected by breeders' rights and/or plant patents. This means that our varieties may not be propagated or grown without a valid license contract between your company and Armada International. - ARMADA BREEDING
Breeding of cut flowers, pot plants and perennials

From the past Moerplant has a lot of experience in breeding aster, chrysanthemum, lysimachia, ajania and lavender. The recently modernized nursery in de Lier is specially adapted for this purpose. Not only small compartments for small plot testing of new seedlings, but also an area designed for testing under commercial circumstances. This gives a lot of cultural and trading information at the moment of introduction of our latest varieties. The in house knowledge will be developed further. Right now we have breeding programs for aster, chrysanthemum, lavender, fuchsia, ajania and eupatorium. With all these breeding activities we can guarantee you the best varieties available in your crop now and in the future.
We also offer you the possibility to perform breeding research exclusively for your company. Think about collecting breeding parents, design and execution of a breeding program, growing and selection of seedlings. In fuchsias for example we are working together with Hendriks in 's-Gravenzande.
